Pre-qualifications and Requirements
Most importantly: Joining OltreAir is free of charge.
To become a part of OltreAir, interested users are required to 1) create a personal Account on Newsky and 2) either possess an OltreAir Pilot Certificate or an equivalent certification from Newsky.
Earn the OltreAir Pilot Certificate by enrolling in the European Flight Academy (EFA) and completing the Certificate Tour. If you have a parallel certification from another Newsky-based virtual airline, you're good too! Otherwise, get your hands on the controls and score 7.0 or above with a few dedicated flights at the Newsky Academy.
By adhering to these prerequisites, we aim to:
- Provide an opportunity for users to familiarize themselves with the system before officially signing on with OltreAir, ensuring a seamless setup.
- Offer a chance to review the first post-flight report, encouraging possible improvements and a comprehensive understanding of our rating system.
